Peacebuilding & Cohesion
In Somalia’s fragile and conflict-prone context, peacebuilding and social cohesion are essential for sustainable development, protection of rights, and community resilience.
PMWDO recognizes the central role of inclusive dialogue, conflict prevention, and local ownership in restoring peace and rebuilding trust among diverse communities, particularly those marginalized by identity, clan affiliation, or displacement.
Our Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion programming aims to address the root causes of inter-clan conflict, gender-based violence, and exclusion by promoting inclusive participation, local mediation structures, and peaceful coexistence. We work closely with community elders, women, youth, traditional and religious leaders, and local government to build a shared vision of peace and collaboration., consectetur adipiscing elit.
