Water and Sanitation
Access to clean water, safe sanitation, and proper hygiene is fundamental to health, dignity, and resilience. In Somalia, particularly within IDP settlements and rural communities, limited WASH infrastructure exacerbates the risk of disease outbreaks, school absenteeism, gender-based violence, and environmental degradation.
PMWDO’s WASH programming seeks to address these critical gaps by delivering integrated, community-driven WASH solutions that improve health outcomes, empower women and girls, and build resilience against future shocks. Our interventions align with government priorities and global standards to create sustainable, inclusive systems for water and sanitation access across Puntland.
